Korean brand is making progress from low base and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has teamed up with Amazon in Italy to sell cars online for the first time. The Amazon deal will initially only be available on Fiat 500, 500L and the best-selling Panda models in Italy, targeting younger consumers, according to a Reuters report of an online FCA conference.
Also in this week’s headlines, Cambria Automobiles turned in a strong performance in the year to 31 August with underlying pre-tax profits up 37.7% to £10.6m on turnover up 17.3% to £614.2m. Cap hpi has launched a new app for Apple devices which provides access to vehicle valuation data in under 15 seconds.
In other news, Pendragon and Lookers are the latest dealer groups to confirm they will be exhibiting at the 2017 London Motor Show. Pendragon’s Stratstone division will represent Aston Martin at the show, while Lookers will represent Skoda. That’s a key finding of new research from Dealerweb, the showroom management system provider, which polled 1,000 motorists across the UK on their expectations of the vehicle buying process when initiated online.
